Thompson joined the BC Football coaching staff in 2014 as an assistant coach and was promoted to defensive coordinator in 2019. Prior to BC, he spent the 2013 season as an intern at the University of Maryland.

Thompson played football for BC from 2008-09 before transferring to the University of Nevada where he played from 2010-12.

He holds an A.A. from Bakersfield College (2009), a B.A. from Nevada (2012) and an M.S in Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific University (2016).
