Going up against the top team in the Western State Conference-East, No. 12-ranked Bakersfield College, Citrus College knew it would have a challenge Tuesday. The Owls battled but came up short, dropping a 3-0 road game to the Renegades.

Citrus slips to 9-19 on the year and 3-2 in conference while Bakersfield keeps its perfect WSC record intact and moves to 22-6 overall.

The Owls were held in check offensively, with only Patty Rodriguez, Grace Kassotis and Alexis Cordero posting hits in the game.

Citrus looks to shake it off and finish the week strong with two more home games. The Owls host LA Mission for a WSC contest on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. before East Los Angeles comes to town on Friday for a 1 p.m. non-conference matchup.
