BASEBALL:  HORNETS WIN IN SCOREFEST

Fullerton took on visiting Bakersfield College in a non-conference game on Thursday and beat the Renegades 15-8.

FC got it going early in the first inning scoring four runs. Three straight walks loaded the bases for the Hornets. The first run came when Chase Kerr was hit by a pitch forcing Monte Montenegro across home plate. A wild pitch allowed Ryan Aguirre to come home. Tate Brock and Angel Lopez both hit singles scoring Thomas Delgadillo and Kerr.

Bakersfield broke out in the top of the third scoring four runs to tie the game up, but the Hornets went off in the third dropping six runs to go up 10-4.

The Renegades tried to climb back in it in the sixth scoring 4 runs, but again FC's offense answered the call adding three runs in their next at bat and a security run in the eighth.
