Falcons close out non-conference schedule with 69-65 loss to Bakersfield

COALINGA – Elisee Ehuie nearly posted a double-double with a team-high 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead West Hills College Coalinga in a 69-65 non-conference loss to visiting Bakersfield College on Friday night.

The Falcons returned to the court for the first time since the holiday break but unfortunately couldn't snap a mid-season losing streak. West Hills' sixth consecutive defeat dropped its overall record to 6-8.

The Falcons held a 38-31 lead at halftime but were outscored 38-27 by the Renegades over the final 20 minutes.

Noah Richmond came off the bench to score 12 points for West Hills. Supreme Niles added 10 points while Khyree Reese had a team-high 10 rebounds to go with 6 points.

West Hills returns to action on Wednesday (Jan. 4) to open Central Valley Conference play at Reedley College. Opening tip off is set for 7 p.m.
