Citrus Volleyball hosted Bakersfield on Friday for a Western State Conference South match. The visiting Renegades swept the Owls in 3 sets, 17-25, 16-25, 21-25.
Nia Nix led all players with 15 kills in the match. Summer Edington recorded 12 kills, and Vanessa Warren posted 27 assists in the effort, and served up 4 aces. Warren eclipsed the 530 assist mark for the season in the match, creeping closer to the conference leader. The freshman is ranked #2 with 534. Libero Aaliyah Robles led all diggers with 7 on the night.
The Owls fall to 7-14 overall, with a 4-3 conference record. Citrus currently resides in the 4th spot in the WSC South, with 4 conference games left in 2019.
The next game for the ladies is Tuesday at Canyons, in a game that was rescheduled due to the wildfires in the region last week. First serve is at 7:00 PM.
