Baseball Falls to LA Pierce at Home, 6-1

Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Baseball team hosted LA Pierce on Tuesday afternoon at Gerry Collis field and fell to the visiting Brahmas 6-1.

While BC scored the opening run of the game in the bottom of the first inning, Pierce came back in the top of the second inning tie it up and then jumped ahead in the third adding two more runs. The Brahmas then came alive in the top of the seventh with three runs to go ahead, 6-1.

The Renegades were held to two hits (Will Reynolds, Daniel Ingrao) and made four errors, compared to seven hits and one error for Pierce.

PJ Roberts took the start and the loss on the mound for BC. He worked four innings with one strikeout and three runs given up. David Villegas pitched three innings of relief with three strikeouts and three runs given up and Roman Rubio closed out the final two innings with two strikeouts.

They will remain at home for their next game against Cerro Coso College on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 6pm. The game will not be streamed due to conflicting time with the Men's Basketball game.
