Baseball Falls to El Camino in 15 Innings

Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Baseball team hosted El Camino in the first game of a three game home series and fell to the Warriors, 3-1 in a game that went 15 innings.

The game was a defensive battle with strong pitching by both sides. The first run didn't come across the plate until the seventh inning when the Warriors were able to bring a run in. The Renegades tied it up in the bottom of the ninth and had runners aboard, but were unable to bring in a walk-off run.

The stalemate lasted until the 15th inning when El Camino, with the bases loaded, scored a run off a walked batter. A fielder's choice RBI brought another Warrior across with the next batter. The Renegades were unable to mount a comeback in the bottom of the inning and took the loss.

Alejandro Murillo got the start on the hill for the Renegades and went nine innings with 15 strikeouts, the most in any one game of his Renegade career.

BC collected eight hits on the day compared to seven for El Camino.
