Baseball Falls to El Camino, 9-3

Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Baseball team looked to win the series in the third and final game of the series on Saturday against El Camino at Gerry Collis field, but that did not happen as the Warriors took home a 9-3 victory on Saturday.

El Camino got on the board early in the game with two runs in the top of the second. They followed that up with four more runs in the top of the fourth and added a solo home run in the top of the fifth to take a 7-0 advantage.

The Renegades finally came back in the bottom of the fifth with a Jacob Baker two RBI triple to deep right field that brought home Miguel Castillo and Garrett Pavletich. El Camino added to their lead with a two run seventh that the Renegades were able to answer back with a Brett Johnson fielder's choice that scored Alex Rodriguez. That would be the final push for BC though as they dropedp the series to El Camino, two games to one.

David Villegas got the start and the loss for the Renegades. He pitched three and 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts. Roman Rubio came in for the next two innings. Brock Barron and Mason Moccardini also pitched in the game.
