Baseball Drops Game To Pierce At Home

Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Baseball team hosted LA Pierce at Gerry Collis Field and fell to the Brahmas, 5-3. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Pierce, but was changed to be played at BC due to the Brahmas field not being in playable condition.

BC was able to land a run across in the top of the first, which Pierce responded to with three runs in the bottom of the inning. The Brahmas added two more in the third to increase the lead.

Due to a Pierce error in the top of the 5th, the Renegades were able to bring one run across. And again in the eighth brought another runner across due to error. That is as close as BC would come in the loss.

Benji Caggienelli started on the mound for the Renegades, going six innings with 11 strikeouts and no walks. Roman Rubio finished the last two innings with one strikeout.

Hunter Adams led the team at the plate going 2 for 4 with one RBI.
