Murillo and Garcia Headed to the Next Level

Bakersfield, CA - Alejandro Murillo and Richard Garcia from Renegade Baseball have committed to continue their academic and baseball careers at the next level. Murillo is headed to the University of Nevada and Garcia will be at the University of Antelope Valley.

Murillo, a pitcher from Stockdale High School, played two years at BC. In 2019 he was a major contributing factor to the Renegades clinching their second straight Western State Conference (WSC) South Championship. He was 10-2 from the mound throwing 70 strikeouts with a 3.31 ERA. He was named the 2018 WSC South Pitcher of the Year. In the shortened season of 2020 he went 2-2 from the mound throwing 46 strikeouts with an ERA of 1.63. Against El Camino on February 6, he struck out 15 Warriors, the most in any one game of his Renegade career. The University of Nevada is an NCAA Division I level school located in Reno, NV that competes in the Mountain West Conference (MWC).

Garcia, in infielder from Independence High School, played just the 2020 season at BC. He played in 12 games with an hitting average of .325 with 4 RBI's and 9 runs scored. The University of Antelope Valley is an NAIA level school that competes in the California Pacific Conference (CAL PAC).
