Baseball Split Series with Reedley

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College baseball team had a dominant performance against the Reedley Tigers, winning 8-1 in the second game of the two-game series that showcased their talent and determination. The game started off with a bang, as Luke Froehlich scored an unearned run in the 2nd inning, giving the Renegades an early lead. Andrew Townson followed up with a run of his own in the 3rd inning, scoring on a wild pitch. The Renegades continued to pile on the runs, with Froehlich hitting a two-run homer in the third inning and Jordan Lopez hitting a two-run double in the 6th inning.

The Renegades' offense was backed up by a strong pitching performance from starter Tim Ruiz, who did not allow a single run in the eight innings he pitched and struck out five batters.

They now have a record of 12-19 on the season and they look to continue their winning ways in their upcoming games.

BC will continue conference play taking on Antelope Valley College on April 11th  at Gerry Collis field with a 2 pm first pitch.
