BAKERSFIELD, CA- The Bakersfield College baseball team had an exciting game on Tuesday against the Antelope Valley Marauders in the first game of the series. AVC took a 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the 9th inning when the Renegades were able to capitalize on a throwing error by the Marauders' pitcher. The game started off slow for both teams, with neither team able to score in the first four innings. However, in the top of the fifth, the Marauders were able to score a run off of a fielder's choice. The Renegades responded in the bottom of the seventh, scoring two runs of their own and taking the lead.

The Bakersfield College baseball team was thrilled with their hard-fought victory, improving their record to 13-19 on the season. BC will continue the series against Antelope Valley College at AVC on Thursday and return back on Saturday to wrap up the series.
