Olivas, De Jager and Roberson Moving-On

Bakersfield, CA - Renegade football players Carson Olivas, Nathan De Jager and Cameron Roberson are all moving on to compete at the Division I level after completing successful BC careers. Olivas signed with UCLA, De Jager with UNLV and Roberson with UMass. 

Olivas (BHS) was the first to sign and has already begun taking classes and working out with the Bruin football team in Westwood. During the 2018 football season he averaged 41.4 yards/punt with a long of 56 yards and pinning opponents inside the 20 a total of 21 times. He was selected as a 2018 CCCFCA All-America team named to the 2018 SCFA North 1st-Team All-Conference Team. 

De Jager (BCHS) finished the 2018 season leading the team in scoring with 86 points. He went 16 for 19 (84%) on field goal attempts and 38 for 39 (97%) on extra point attempts. His season long was from 50 yards, which he made against Long Beach City going five for five in field goals for the game. A 2018 CCCFCA All-California Team and 2018 SCFA North 1st-Team All-Conference selection, De Jager will begin classes and practice as a UNLV Rebel this spring semester.

Roberson (Garces HS) wrapped up the 2018 season with 1,147 all-purpose yards and five total touchdowns as a triple threat for the Renegades playing wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner. As a punt returner, Roberson had 22 punt returns for a total of 470 yards averaging a state leading 21.3 yds/return including three punts returned for a touchdown. Roberson will also begin at UMass this spring, starting classes and working out with the team immediately.
