BC Falls to El Camino, 20-30

TORRANCE, CA- Despite taking an early ten point lead, the Bakersfield College Renegades fell to the El Camino Warriors 30-20 in their first road game of the 2022 season.

BC's quarterback Joseph Campbell contacted with receiver Jihad Marks for two touchdowns, one in the first quarter and the next in the second as the Renegades built an early 13-3 lead with about 14 minutes left in the first half. Unfortunately, for the Gades the early success was short lived. 

The Warriors scored the next 27 points taking a 30-13 lead before the final scoring drive of the game came from Bakersfield's Jaron Amos' fourth quarter rushing touchdown.  

BC's quarterback Campbell passed for 254 yards and Tyce Griswold added 96 to ened the night.

The Renegades passing attack was spread with completions to nine different receivers with a majority of receptions to Marks (5-122 yards), Jayden Smith (6-95), Dominique D'Amato (6-48), and Jaquell Bonner (5-47).

With the loss, the Renegades are 1-1 on the season and will return to Memorial Stadium, Saturday September 17th to take on Golden West at 4pm. Bakersfield College will be celebrating more community members, educators for Education Night. All employees who work for a school district are able to recieve free admission with proof of identification.
