BC fought rival Antelope Valley tooth and nail, but came up short in yet another nail biter for the Renegades this season.

The Bakersfield College Men's Basketball team closed a nine point halftime gap against Antelope Valley, but came up just short of clinching the Clete Adelman Classic championship in Oceanside, CA in a tough 77-75 loss Thursday.

BC certainly showed heart in the two point loss, one of more than half a dozen such close games they've finished in the 2016-2017 season. Down by nine points at halftime, the Renegades heard what they needed to hear from Coaches Rich Hughes and Aaron Chavez, and came out fighting in the second half.

Shane Christie led BC with 19 points, while Sean LeFlore turned in an admirable double-double in scoring 14 points while pulling down 10 rebounds.

Jaylunn English chipped in 16 points and seven rebounds in the two point loss.
