Former Renegade Signs Professional Basketball Contract

Bakersfield, CA - Former Renegade men's basketball standout, Deandre Dickson has signed a professional contract to play for Žilina Basketball in the Slovak Basketball League.

Dickson played for BC head men's basketbal coach Rich Hughes as a freshman and sophomore during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. One of the more decorated players in Renegade basketball history, he went on to transfer to Western Washington University, an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and is located in Bellingham, WA.

"We are very excited for Deandre", Coach Hughes said "First, he received his bachelors degree in June, so he is a college graduate and did it in 4 years which is a very impressive feat. Second, to play professionally is a difficult task and to accomplish that goal so quickly speaks of his elite talent level and character. Hopefully he can parlay this start in Europe to a long and prosperous professional career."
