Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College Men's basketball team hosted visiting College of the Sequoias at the Gil Bishop Sports Center on Friday evening and lost 79-73.
COS came out strong with a 5-0 lead early, but the Renegades fought back to take the lead at 15-14 mid-way through the first half. COS then took the lead back and at the half led 38-32.
COS maintained the edge coming out of the break and with 10:54 to go still had a 6-point advantage at 50-44. The Giants were able to keep the lead and take the victory 79-73 over the Renegades.
Leading BC in scoring for the evening was Quentin Pettiford with 15 points, Anieus Medrano with 14 and Shahadah Camp with 13.
The Renegades drop to 0-2 overall on the season and will return to action tomorrow, Saturday Nov. 10, at Cerro Coso at 6pm.
