Men's Soccer Bows Out of CCCAA Playoffs in 2OT Loss to Fullerton

Fullerton, CA - The historical 2019 season for Renegade Men's Soccer came to a close on the Fullerton College Soccer Field Saturday afternoon in a 1-0 double overtime loss.

The game was a defensive battle as both teams went the full 90 minutes without being able to put a shot in the back of the net. The CCCAA soccer overtime rules during playoffs call for up to two 15 minute overtime periods before advancing to penalty kicks. The first overtime ended in a 0-0 tie, but into the second overtime period the Hornets were able to get a shot past the Renegade defense and with the close of the period secured their advancement into the second round of the playoffs.

Bakersfield ends their 2019 season run with the first conference championship in program history and a overall record of 10-8-3 and 4-2-2 in conference.
