#17 BC Softball (18-21-1, 14-7) will hit the road Tuesday to play #16 Long Beach City College (21-18, 12-9) on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 on the LBCC campus in one of two "play-in" games.

If BC wins, they'll advance to Round 1 of the CCCAA Southern Regional Championship Tournament to face either #1 Cypress College or #2 Santiago Canyon College.

"I figured we'd be seeded 15th or 16th because we had a better RPI than a couple of other qualifiers," Coach Christie Hill said, "But they just say 'this is where you are seeded, and this is who you are playing."

The Lady 'Gades had a rocky start to the season, but came together in conference play where they set team records in home runs and saw Marina Felipe emerge as a serious strikeout pitcher. They also held their own against some of the toughest teams in the state.

"Now we play softball. We do what we do and we go out and prove ourselves," Coach Hill said.

Felipe, Madalyn Arambula, and Alyssa Gonzales all earned 1st Team All-Conference Honors for BC, while Izzie Martinez and Trinidad Lee were named to the 2nd Team.

Cassanra Sanchez and Alexis Rodriguez were honorable mentions to the All-Conference Squd.
