Kylee Fahy named Conference Pitcher of the Year and to the All-State team.

Kylee Fahy threw a one-hitter and went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI at the plate to lead the Bakersfield College softball team to 8-0 win over visiting Moorpark College on Monday.
The game was stopped in the bottom of the sixth inning, due the eight-run rule, after Fahy singled in a pair of runs.
"She (Fahy) comes through with some of those games every once in a while," BC coach Casey Goodman said. "We've been working on hitting to the opposite field, so it was good to see her take those balls the other way. We've been harping on that a lot so it's good to see what we use in practice translate into a game."
Fahy, the state leader in wins (19) and strikeouts (172) needed just 67 pitches to dispatch the Raiders (13-10, 1-4 (WSC-North) and post her seventh shutout of the season.
The freshman from Liberty High School was in complete control from start to finish. She didn't allow any walks and had six strikeouts.
Fahy has allowed just three runs in her last five appearances, a span of 28 2/3 innings pitched.
The Renegades offense had 11 hits and drew six walks.
BC (22-6, 6-1 WSC-North) scored two runs in the second inning and two more in the third to build a 4-0 lead.
The score remaining that way until the sixth when the Renegades ended things early by positing four runs without making an out.
Alexis Solis extended the Renegades' advantage to 6-0 with a two-run home run over the centerfield fence.
Aryka Chavez and McKenna Valencia followed with back-to-back fly balls that hit the fence in the air, before Fahy smashed a line drive to right field plating both and ending things.
Everyone in BC's starting lineup except for the ninth-place hitter reached base safely at least one time.
Fahy and Ashley Hernandez (two singles and a walk) reached base three times. Valencia, Chavez, Jordan Jimenez, and Saidee Banuelos all reached base two times.
"I like the way we rebounded (from the loss to Riverside on Saturday)," Goodman said. "We didn't practice yesterday. They needed some time off to rest up to get ready for another conference game. It started off a little slow, but we got the offense going and that's the kind of production we need one through nine."
The Renegades return to action on Tuesday, when the go on the road to play Santa Barbara College.
