ARYKA CHAVEZ SIGNS WITH ARIZONA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Renegade softball player Aryka Chavez has signed to continue her academic and playing career at Arizona Christian University located in Phoenix, AZ.

Chavez, a sophomore infielder this last season, appeared in all 44 games for head coach Casey Goodman and was a leading factor in the team winning the WSC 2018 conference championship. She ended the season with a .393 batting average while hitting 7 home runs and driving in 32 RBI's.

"Aryka was one of the best offensive players for our team and a big reason we won a conference Championship", said Coach Goodman. "She's a great teammate with tremendous leadership abilities that are going to really shine at ACU. I am really looking forward to her next two years and for ACU to experience what we did in the time she was with us at BC. She will do great things at Arizona Christian. They are getting a great player, but more importantly they are getting an amazing person."

Chavez now joins fellow Renegade teammate Alexis Solis, who signed to play at the University of Saint Mary, as the two players from that the 2017-18 conference championship team that have signed on to play at four-year schools.

There are now a total of 35 Renegade student-athletes from the 2017-18 year that will be playing at various four-year schools throughout the country this coming season.
