Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College softball team hosted Ohlone College in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday morning at the Dean & Adah Gay Sports Complex and came away with a 2-1 victory.
BC's Natilee Parrish opened the scoring in the game by blasting a solo home run over the center field fence as the lead-off hitter in the second inning. In the 3rd Alexis Lopez hit a double over the center-fielder's head that scored Ashley Hernandez from first to increase the lead to 2-0.
Ohlone put one run across fourth, but was unable to produce any more offense and the Renegades took the victory.
Kylee Fahy got the start at pitcher for the Renegades and collected 12 strikeouts with only 4 hits allowed.
