Softball Falls to Sierra at Home

Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College softball team hosted Sierra College on Saturday afternoon in the second game of a doubleheader and came away with a 5-2 loss.

Sierra College jumped out to an early lead in the top of the second with a three-run homerun. Natilee Parrish answered back with a solo home run of her own in the bottom of the inning.

The Wolverines brought across two runs in the top of the third. The Renegades scored one in the bottom of the third on a Kylee Fahy RBI single that brought Alexis Lopez home from third.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Renegades were able to score one run off a Lopez triple that scored Ashley Hernandez from first, but that was the extent of the comeback.

Natilee Parrish started the game at pitcher for the Renegades, but was replaced by Fahy in the third. Fahy ended the game with four strikeouts and three hits allowed.

With today's results, BC moves to 8-9 overall.

The Renegades will next travel to play a reschedule game against Ventura on Monday 3/11 at 2:00pm.
