Softball Falls to Pasadena City at Home

Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College softball team hosted Pasadena City on Saturday morning in the Dean and Adah Gay Sports Complex and lost in six innings, 9-1. 

In the bottom of the first, Kylee Fahy put the Renegades on the board first with an RBI double that scored Lysette Castro. Pasadena evened things up 1-1 in the top of the second after a passed ball by BC.

The Lancers went ahead in the top of the top of the fifth on an RBI single. In the same play, another run was on the way to the plate, but BC catcher Savannah Gonzalez put the tag on the runner to end the inning.

Pasadena exploded offensively in the top of the sixth, for a total of seven runs, to further extend the lead to 9-1.

Fahy started the game at pitcher for BC, going all six innings, collecting four strikeouts.
