Softball Blanks Santa Barbara and Fahy Collects Second No-Hitter of the Season

Bakersfield, CA –The Bakersfield College softball team hosted Santa Barbara City College on Tuesday afternoon at the Dean & Adah Sports Complex in a WSC match-up and came away with run-ruled 8-0 victory after six innings.

The Renegades got on the board first in the bottom of the second when Natilee Parrish scored on an error by the Vaquero infield. In the bottom of the third, BC added two more runs with a Kylee Fahy RBI single and an Alexis Venegas RBI single.

In the fifth, Parrish hit her 10th homerun of the season, a two run shot. Venegas then stepped to the plate and hit an inside the park homerun. To end the game on the run-rule, Parrish hit a two RBI single in the bottom of the sixth that scored Alexis Lopez and Saidee Banuelos and sealed the win.

Fahy started the game at pitcher for BC and collected her second no-hitter of the season, going all six innings collecting fourteen strikeouts.

With today's results, BC drops to 15-13 overall and 9-0 in conference.

Next up, the Renegades travel to play at Oxnard this Thursday (3/28) at 2:30pm.
