Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College softball team hosted LA Valley College on Wednesday afternoon in a non-division game at the Dean & Adah Gay Sports Complex and shutout the Monarchs, 3-0.
Alexis Venegas knocked a two-run home run in the bottom of the second to break open the scoring. BC extended the lead in the bottom of the sixth off a Lysette Castro single that scored Venegas.
Kylee Fahy started the game at pitcher for BC and went all seven innings collecting eight strikeouts, allowed four hits and zero runs.
With today's results, BC improves 22-16 overall and remain at 14-0 in conference.
The Renegades return to the diamond tomorrow against Cuesta (4/18) at 2:30pm.
