Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Softball team hosted College of the Sequoias at the Dean & Adah Sports Complex on Tuesday afternoon and fell on the wrong side of a 7-0 score against the Giants.
Sequoias got off to a fast start in the top of the first inning, putting three runs across before the Renegades could get out of the inning. The Renegades were able to collect only three hits on the day and were unable to get any runs across the entire game. In the top of the seventh the Giants were able to put four more across to pad their lead.
Arianna Gutierrez took the loss for BC. She allowed 13 hits and seven runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking zero. Alantis Rede led the Renegades at the plate going 2/3.

With the loss the Renegades fall to 6-4 overall on the season and will be back in action this weekend when they host Sierra College and Monterey Peninsula College at 12pm and 4pm, respectively on Saturday (2/11).
