Softball Shuts out Glendale, 23-0

Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade softball team hosted the Glendale College Vaqueros and came away with a 23-0 win with three homeruns and two by infielder Rylee Price

Bakersfield did not waste any time scoring runs early and often and didn't alow the visiting Vaqueros to score a single run in the five innings that were played! Price collected a total of four hits to help lead the Renegades to victory. However, it was a complete team effort to take the big shut out win over Glendale. In the fourth inning alone, ten runs were scored thanks to singles from Julie Silva, Shelbie Valencia, Price and a double Anika Romo.

Talia Nielson was the winning pitcher, allowing no run on one hit over five innings, striking out 10 and walking zero.

As a team, BC collected 21 hits clearning the bench, Price, Nielson, Kyle Havens, Jayden Beam, Kady Smith, Alyssa Miller and Valencia all contributed mutliple hits.

They now move to 26-6 on the season and will head for the road to take LA Valley on Thursday, April 14th and El Camino on Saturday, April 16th.
