The Bakersfield College Women's Basketball Team (4-5) extended their win steak to four with a double-overtime  77-75 victory over Moorpark (7-4) to clinch the Santa Ana Tournament Championship Saturday.

MacKenzie te Velde led the Renegades with 18 points and 15 rebounds in picking up her third double-double performance of the tournament.

"We went several minutes, maybe even seven straight minutes without scoring," Coach Paula Dahl said, "But they didn't score either. Our defense was absolutely incredible."

Julie Olvera was named Tournament MVP, and Kennedy Nielsen earned All-Tournament honors, but Dahl was effusive with praise for the whole program.

"This was a team win through and through. It takes an entire team to win like this. Angie Kroeger pulling down 14 rebounds in just 21 minutes, Peanut (Marissa Figueroa), Octavia Croney, and my coaching staff calling the right plays, and everyone...and everything coming together after a tough start," Dahl said.

BC started the season 0-5, but has won their last three games in convincing fashion.
