Wrestling Takes 2nd at Southern Regionals

Santa Ana, CA - The Renegade Wrestling team traveled to Santa Ana College on Saturday to compete in the Southern Regionals. As a team they took 2nd place, behind Cerritos College who took 1st. They also qualified eight individual wrestlers and two alternates for next week's CCCAA State Championships at Fresno City College. In order to qualify, wrestlers had to place 6th or higher in their weight class.

149– Adrian Gonzales 1st (Qualified for State Championships)

157-Gabe Salcedo injured 

165- Scott Hokit 3rd (Qualified for State Championships)

174– Jacob Annis 4th (Qualified for State Championships)

174– Jonathan Hunter 1st (Qualified for State Championships 

184-Jordan Annis 3rd (Qualified for State Championships)

184–Armando Varelas 7th (Alternate for State Championships)

197-Ricardo Gonzalez 4th (Qualified for State Championships)

285-Donald Oliver 7th alternate (Alternate for State Championships)

The state championships will take place this coming week on Friday (12/13) and Saturday (12/14) at Fresno City College.
