Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Women's Soccer team hosted Victor Valley College in Memorial Stadium on Tuesday afternoon and came away with another shutout victory at home, 4-0.

Rhyan Acosta sent the ball into the back of the net just seconds into the match to open the scoring at 1-0. In the 21st minute Jackie Zavala scored again for the Renegades to go ahead 2-0.

In the second half, Emily Lostetter added a goal of her own in the 69th minute to extend BC's lead to 3-0. The final goal was scored by Lissette Garcia in stoppage time before the final whistle blew to end the scoring at 4-0.

"We were glad to score the goals we did, but I felt like we were a little out of rhythm all night tonight, commented Coach Dameron after the game, "So the goals we scored were good, but we just need to be more consistent with the way we play, in our rhythm, in our style. There were times tonight we just got away from our style, so we've just got to fix that."

With the win, the Renegades improve to 9-3 on the season. Their next game will be on the road when they play at Citrus College on Friday, October 12th at 1pm.
