Women's Soccer ties with Antelope Valley

Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Women's Soccer team hosted Antelope Valley College in Memorial Stadium on Tuesday evening and came away with a tie, 0-0.

Both halves were strong defensive battles. In the 73rd minute the Renegades came close to netting a goal, but the Michelle Vargas shot hit the bottom part of the cross bar and was cleared by Antelope Valley.

"It was a hard fought tie," commented Coach Scott Dameron, "They are a good team and it was a good game tonight. Both teams had some great chances that I'm sure we're both going to talk about after the game. We've just got to keep working to find that finishing touch."

With the tie, the Renegades move to 9-4-2 on the season and 1-1-2 in WSC play. Up next, they head on the road to face Victor Valley this Friday, Oct. 26th at 4pm.
