Women's Soccer Rolls Past West LA Led By Rhyan Acosta Hat Trick

Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Women's Soccer team hosted West LA in a WSC Conference match on Tuesday afternoon (11/5) and came away with a dominating 5-0 win.  

The Renegades netted the first goal in the 25th minute when Katherine Rodriguez gathered a short rebound off a deflected corner kick and put it between the keeper and the left side of the net. Rhyan Acosta added the second goal in the 43rd minute and then added another just before the end of the half to go up 3-0 headed into the break.

Acosta collected the hat trick with her third goal of the match off a corner kick from Nikolle Prather in the 54th minute. Aaliyah Cleveland put the Renegades ahead 5-0 in the 60th minute with a kick just outside of the box that curled just inside the near post.

With the win, the Renegades improve to 4-11-2 overall and 3-6-2 in conference. They will stay at home for sophomore day, their last home match of the season, this Friday 11/8 at 3pm at the BC Soccer Fields.
