BC Women's Tennis improves to 3-0 and they are having fun along the way.

BC Women's tennis is off to a great start on their trip to the south as they took down San Diego City College 6-3 Friday afternoon. BC Women started with a 3-0 sweep in doubles. #1 team of Riley Tucker and Kaylee Defrees stay undefeated on the young season with an 8-4 win. Paige Darstein an Brittany Aguilar put in extra work after being down early and gritted out a 9-7 win at #2. #3 team of Arianna Acevedo and Serena Contreras had a clean sheet with an 8-0 win.

Singles proved a lot tougher as #1 Darstein, #3 Aguilar and #4 Defrees were all pushed to 3 sets with each one falling in the last set. Each player was down a set so it was really good to see some fight out of them. #2 Tucker, #5 Acevedo and #6 Contreras all cruises to straight set victories.

The team really had to battle today. Even though we didn't come up with wins in the matches that went 3 sets we never had a letdown. To be a set down and to come back and win the 2nd shows a lot of character. This will help us later on in the season.

The 3-0 BC Women's tennis team concludes their roadtrip with a match against San Diego Mesa tomorrow at 12:30pm.
