BC WOMEN'S TENNIS REMAINS UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE PLAY

The Bakersfield College Women's Tennis Team (10-1, 5-0) remains undefeated in Western State Conference play with a 9-0 blowout win over Antelope Valley College (1-5, 1-4) at the BC Tennis Complex Thursday afternoon.

The Mauraders came into town short-handed and that put them up against it from the start. With only 4 players they defaulted #5 and #6 singles and #3 doubles. In singles play, Paige Darstein, Kaylee Defrees, Serena Contreras and Kenzi Williamson all had convincing straight set wins. Between the 4 wins the lady gades only dropped 4 games. In doubles play #1 team of Riley Tucker and Kaylee Defrees dispatched AVC's Heckenliabke and Maldonado 8-0. At #2 doubles BC's Contreras and Williamson took down Theurer and Wright 8-1. The lady gades were focused and prepared and are looking forward to next weeks important match against conference foe Ventura. There is a lot on the line with the gades 5-0 conference record. We need to finish the first round of conference strong to back up everything we've done up until this point.
