BC women's tennis 14-2(7-0) started their 2nd round of conference play off right with a 9-0 thumping of Victor Valley College Tuesday afternoon at their home courts. Singles play started first and it was a perfect afternoon for the lady gades as they combined to lose 0 games for all 6 matches. #1 Paige Darstein, #2 Riley Tucker, #3 Brittany Aguilar, #4 Kaylee Defrees and #5 Arianna Acevedo took out their opponents 6-0,6-0. #6 Serena Contreras won by Default.

In doubles play, the lady gades once again came out perfect without losing a single game. At #1 doubles, Darstein and Defrees won 8-0 against VVC's Ally Samp and Jo Watson. BC's #2 team of Tucker and Aguilar blanked VVC's Ava Andrasi and Lorene Conners 8-0.

I am proud of the way the women played today. It's easy to lose focus and play to the level of competition but they were really sharp. To not lose a single game is tough against any team. And for them to keep composure and stay mentally tough is a testament to their hard work. This will bring us into Thursday's matchup with Glendale with a lot of confidence.
