All of Bakersfield College's qualifiers at the State Track and Field Championships placed in the top eight of their respective events this weekend at San Diego-Mesa College. 

Marilyn Quintero placed fifth in the discus with a throw of 41.07 meters, and Dillen Littles placed fifth in both the men's discus and shotput. Littles also set a personal record with a 151 foot throw in the discus. 

The women's 4 x 100 relay team (Tyra Saunders, Kyra Saunders, Kassidy Murphy, and Emagee Taylor) placed seventh in the state meet. 

Tyra Saunders also placed 8th in the women's 100 Meter Dash with a time of 11.99, just .55 seconds behind the winner of the event. 

Jacob Bookout,  second generation Renegade, placed fifth in the high jump with a mark of 2.02 meters, just .12 meters under the first place finisher.
