Bakersfield, CA - Renegade volleyball sophomore Sarah Armendariz has signed to continue her academic and athletic career as a Cougar at Southern Illinios University Edwardsville located in Edwardsville, Ill.

Armendariz transfered mid-year and is already competing in spring practices with the SIUE volleyball team. 

A key role to the volleyball teams state final run this last year, Sarah was highly decorated in post-season awards being named AVCA All-American, WSC South Player of the Year and CCCAA All-State. She played in all 27 matches, with the Renegades going 25-2 and finishing 5th in the final state poll after losing to state runner-up Fresno City in the quarterfinals of the state tournament. Over the course of the season she recorded 951 assists, 192 digs and 140 kills.
