Bakersfield, CA – The Bakersfield College Volleyball team opened the 2021 season by hosting the Santa Barbara City College Vaqueros, 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 2518, 25-23).

After an abbreviated season and no fans in the spring, the Renegades went back to their winning ways over SBCC in taking the first set. The Vaqueros gave BC a little fright as they took the second set by two points but that just gave the women more fire to come back and take the next two sets to seal the deal.

Freshman Kami Moron and Sophomore Alyson Dees  led the team in the win. Marion had a solid first outing as a Renegade by collecting 14 kills and 20 digs while Dees put down 13 kills and 8 digs.

Tomorrow (Saturday 8/28) the Renegades will host the Bakersfield College Quad Tournament.
