BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College baseball team wrapped up its 2026 regular season in thrilling fashion, taking all three games from LA Valley to finish tied for third place in conference alongside Antelope Valley.
The series opened with an offensive explosion as the Renegades outlasted LA Valley, 14-13. BC racked up 19 hits, highlighted by big performances from Jordan Brito (4-for-6), Nick Martin (4-for-5), and Luke Camps, who drove in five runs. Brady Baird added three RBIs as Bakersfield held off a late surge to secure the win.
In game two, the Renegades battled through a back-and-forth contest to earn an 8-7 extra-inning victory. Camps continued his strong series with a home run and four RBIs, while Martin reached base consistently and scored three times. The bullpen came up clutch late, with Kaleb Pinedo earning the win after shutting the door in extra innings.
Bakersfield closed out the series with a 9-5 victory, overcoming an early deficit behind timely hitting and strong pitching. Chance Gerecke led the offense with two RBIs, while a late three-run push sealed the win. On the mound, Jacob Berumen earned the victory, and the bullpen combined for scoreless relief to finish the game.
Throughout the series, BC's offense proved to be the difference, combining for 31 runs over the three games. Key contributors included Camps, who drove in nine runs across the series, and Martin, who consistently set the tone at the top of the lineup.
With the series win, the Renegades conclude the regular season with an overall 20-20 record, finishing tied for third in conference.
