Baseball Moves on Six Players

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Six members of the Bakersfield College baseball program will continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year institutions following the 2026 season.

Leading the group is Landon McDonald, who earned First Team All-Western State Conference honors after a historic freshman campaign. McDonald was named the 2026 Western State Conference Freshman Player of the Year and recipient of the conference's Big Stick Award. He also earned ABCA/Rawlings Pacific Association All-Region and All-American recognition after leading the state with a .492 batting average and 15 regular-season home runs.

Jordan Brito will continue his career at Jamestown University in Jamestown, North Dakota. The sophomore outfielder was named Honorable Mention All-Western State Conference and will compete at the NCAA Division II level for Head Coach Tom Hager in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Brito will also reunite with former Renegade teammate Ryan Morales.

Wyatt Ashe has signed with California State University, San Bernardino. The freshman right-handed pitcher will join Head Coach Mike Nadeau and compete in the California Collegiate Athletic Association at the NCAA Division II level.

Liam O'Reilly will continue his collegiate career at Westcliff University in Riverside. The sophomore infielder will play for Head Coach Dylan Hoffman and compete in the California Pacific Conference as a member of the NAIA program.

Nick Martin has signed with California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock. Martin earned First Team All-Western State Conference honors during his sophomore season and will compete at the NCAA Division II level for Head Coach Kenny Leonesio in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Tony Fabian will continue his career at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma. The sophomore right-handed pitcher earned Honorable Mention All-Western State Conference recognition and will play for Head Coach Chris Klimas in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association at the NCAA Division II level.

The six student-athletes represent another strong class of Renegades advancing to the next level, continuing Bakersfield College's tradition of developing student-athletes for success both on the field and in the classroom.
