Bakersfield, CA - The Bakersfield College Athletics department is excited to announce open evaluations for the 2025-2026 Renegade Cheer Team, scheduled for Tuesday, July 15th. Aspiring cheerleaders are invited to attend the event in the Old Gym (Dance Room Upstairs), where they will showcase their talent and spirit in hopes of joining one of the most spirited teams on campus.

Check-in will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m., with the cheer clinic starting at 9:00 a.m. sharp. During the morning session, participants will learn a cheer and a dance routine that they will later perform in front of the evaluation panel. A one-hour lunch break will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by evaluations starting at 1:00 p.m.

Participant Requirements:

• Attire: Black shirt, black bottoms, white socks, and white athletic shoes

• Appearance: Full face of makeup with red lipstick

• Hair: A red ribbon will be provided and must be worn during evaluations

• Eligibility: Must be enrolled as a full-time student at Bakersfield College for the 2025–2026 academic year

This is an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their athleticism, teamwork, and school pride. The Renegade Cheer Team plays a vital role in supporting BC athletics and engaging the community, and the coaching staff is looking forward to meeting the next generation of Renegade spirit leaders.
