BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College men's soccer team earned a 1-1 result at home against Merced on Tuesday, September 23.
Merced struck first in the 30th minute and gave the visitors a 1-0 lead. The Renegades responded quickly after halftime, as midfielder Andrew Orozco capitalized in the 48th minute with an assist from defender Kaleb Carrasco to even the match at 1-1.
Goalkeeper Aaden Zamora anchored the Bakersfield defense with four saves on the day. BC had five shots on goal against Merced.
Up next, men's soccer travels to LA Harbor on Friday and Santa Rosa on Tuesday.
