Men’s Soccer Ends in 1-1 Draw Against Glendale

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College men's soccer battled to a 1-1 draw against Glendale on Friday afternoon at the BC Soccer Field.

Glendale took an early lead in the 21st minute with an unassisted goal, putting the Renegades on their heels in the first half. However, BC responded late in the match when freshman Alejandro Alvarez continued his hot streak, netting the equalizer in the 82nd minute off assists from Luis Gil and Andrew Nava.

The Renegades created multiple scoring opportunities in the second half, totaling seven shots and strong defensive play from goalkeepers Aaden Zamora and Brian Ruvalcaba, who combined for 90 minutes in goal.

With the draw, Bakersfield moves forward with an overall record of 8-4-4 and conference record of 2-1-1. The Renegades will be on the road next week, playing Citrus first on Tuesday and Antelope Valley on Friday.
