Men's Swim Finish 3rd at First Western State Conference Meet at LAVC

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The BC men's swim team secured a strong third-place overall finish at WSC #1, powered by multiple individual event victories.

Jacob Zimmerman led the way with three first places, winning the 50 Free, 100 Free, and 100 Fly. David Hernandez swept the backstroke events with victories in both the 100 and 200 Back, while also placing second in the 200 IM. Nicolas Lira captured the 1650 Free title and added a third-place finish in the 200 Free.

The Renegades were also strong in the relays, as the 200 Free Relay team of Zimmerman, Lira, Hernandez, and Manuel Castro finished second, and the 200 Medley Relay team of Bensin Alvarez, Luke Butterworth, Manuel Castro, and Lira placed third.

Luke Butterworth added a fourth-place finish in the 200 Breaststroke to cap a productive conference-opening meet for the men.
