HUNNINTON BEACH, CA - The Bakersfield College men's cross country team turned in a strong group performance this past weekend at the Golden West Central Park Classic.

Freshman Edgar Gil was the top finisher for the Renegades with a 13th-place finish in a time of 21:24.25. Close behind was Antonio Torres in 23rd (21:57.31), giving Bakersfield two runners inside the top 25.

BC showed solid pack running with Alexis Aguilar (29th, 22:06.98), Jacob Quezeda (30th, 22:07.91), and Daniel Cuevas (34th, 22:18.07) all finishing within 11 seconds of each other. William Hernandez (97th, 24:17.38), Orlando Zuniga (124th, 25:14.07), Adrian Rodriguez (136th, 25:50.19), Josue Valladares (159th, 26:54.48), and Jose Ayala Rodriguez (193rd, 32:25.00) rounded out the Renegade squad.
