BAKERSFIELD, CA - Bakersfield College softball opened its 2026 home schedule by hosting a three-game home-opening 3-way on January 30–31, welcoming Fresno and Fullerton to Bakersfield for a full weekend of competition. The Renegades went 1–2 on the weekend, highlighted by a walk-off win over Fresno to open play.
Bakersfield 5, Fresno 4

Bakersfield opened the weekend with a dramatic 5–4 victory over Fresno, scoring the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning.
The Renegades were powered by a balanced offensive effort, finishing with nine hits in the contest. Lexi Rolin delivered a standout performance, going 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Alexia Marquez added a 2-for-4 day at the plate, while Cambria Scott went 2-for-3 with a walk.
Emily Hernandez and Elizabeth Alderete each drove in a run, and Jennifer Padilla crossed the plate for Bakersfield. Cassidy Torres was strong in the circle, throwing all eight innings and allowing four runs (three earned) while striking out seven to earn the complete-game win.
Fresno totaled nine hits and four runs, but Bakersfield responded after Fresno plated three runs in the sixth inning to keep the game within reach before pulling out the extra-inning victory.
Fullerton 6, Bakersfield 1

In the nightcap, Bakersfield fell to Fullerton, 6–1, despite a strong defensive effort early in the contest.
Andrea Barajas provided the highlight for the Renegades with a solo home run, accounting for Bakersfield's lone run of the game. Sophie Oliver and Lexi Rolin each recorded hits, while Isabella Harrison reached base with a walk.
Fullerton 8, Bakersfield 0

Bakersfield closed the weekend on Saturday afternoon with an 8–0 loss to Fullerton.
The Hornets scored early and continued to apply pressure throughout the game, finishing with nine hits and eight runs. Juliana Ursino led Fullerton with three hits and two RBIs, while Lisa Villanueva added a two-run home run.
For Bakersfield, Lexi Rolin, Isabella Harrison, and Lillian Visser each recorded hits. Emma Gamez was dominant in the circle for Fullerton, striking out 11 Renegades in a complete-game shutout.
Across the three games, Bakersfield totaled 16 hits and saw contributions throughout the lineup, with Rolin finishing the weekend with five hits and four RBIs. Cassidy Torres anchored the pitching staff with a complete-game performance in the opening win.
The Renegades will travel to Moorpark on Tuesday for its next game before returning back at home for another 3-way with Ventura and Riverside on Saturday, February 7th.
