BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College Women's Golf team wrapped up the Western State Conference Championship with two competitive rounds over the weekend. The Renegades battled tough course conditions Sunday at Cypress Ridge Golf Course and followed with a strong finish Monday at Santa Maria Country Club, earning 5th place overall in the final conference standings.

Sophomore captain Ivana Escobar continued her outstanding season, posting rounds of 85 and 86, securing 5th place individually in the WSC Championship. Her leadership and consistency once again set the tone for the team.

The Renegades showed depth and resilience throughout the tournament, and the rewarding part is there is still more golf ahead. All BC players have qualified for the SoCal Regional Championship on November 9–10 at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura.

The team is excited for the opportunity to represent Bakersfield College on the regional stage and continue building on this season's progress. BC will travel to Los Serranos Country Club on November 9th and 10th for the SoCal Championships.
