EAST LA, CA - The Bakersfield College men's wrestling team competed at the ELAC Brawl, with multiple Renegades advancing deep into their brackets and earning key points ahead of the upcoming South Regional Championship.

At 125 lbs, both Joseph Gonzales and Jorge Mendoza navigated tough draws. Gonzales earned a win in consolation with a 9–7 decision over his teammate Mendoza before falling in the consi semifinals. Mendoza highlighted his day with a fall over Victor Valley's Jahir Sedano.

In the 133 lb division, Miguel Barreto-Gonzalez picked up a strong 8–3 decision in consols before being eliminated by tech fall.

BC's depth was showcased at 157 lbs, where Camden Williams delivered the team's best finish of the event—4th place. Williams rattled off four straight wins in the consolation bracket, including two decisions over teammates and a fall over East LA, before dropping a sudden-victory thriller in the third-place match. Teammate Markis Gonzales added a pin of his own in consolation, and Abran Gonzales earned two wins, including a fall and a 16–11 decision.

At 165 lbs, Armando Rivera battled through a pair of tough major-decision losses, while at 174 lbs, Moises Moreno powered his way to 3rd place, recording two falls and finishing with a 5–1 decision in the medal match.

The Renegades' highest podium finisher was Kipp Tyler, who claimed 2nd place at 184 lbs. Tyler dominated his opening rounds with a pin and a major decision before falling in the championship match.

At 197 lbs, Cash Cancel added a fall in consolation before being eliminated by Cerritos' Brian Valdespino.

Bakersfield now turns its focus to the South Regional Championship at Lemoore College on December 6, where the Renegades will look to carry this momentum into postseason competition.
