Vincent and Mendizabal Take the Next Step with Fresno Pacific

FRESNO, CA - Two standout sophomores from Bakersfield College Women's Soccer, Emily Vincent and Melanie Mendizabal, will continue their collegiate careers at Fresno Pacific University, bringing their talents to the NCAA Division II level.

Emily Vincent, a dynamic defender and midfielder, capped off her Renegade career with a breakout sophomore season. She recorded 10 goals, four assists, and three game-winners in just 32 games played (26 starts). Her offensive production soared in 2024–25, where she netted nine goals on 30 shots with an impressive .300 shooting percentage and .800 shots-on-goal percentage—a testament to her growth and versatility on the pitch.

Melanie Mendizabal, a steady presence in the midfield, leaves BC after logging 34 appearances and 32 starts, with two goals and five assists during her two-year career. Known for her ball control and playmaking vision, Mendizabal maintained a .592 shots-on-goal percentage, creating consistent pressure in the attacking third while anchoring the midfield.

Together, Vincent and Mendizabal will be playing in the PAC West Conference, keeping their talents in the Central Valley.
